BF20L Retrofit

After doing the Compact 5 retrofit I felt I needed access to a CNC mill as well, and after some time I managed to convince an electronics association at school (aptly named ETA, the same place that made a robot shown on slashdot a while back) to get one. This resulted in the purchase of an Opti BF20L, a quite nice manual mill, a CNC retrofit kit from the same company, three geckodrives (G212), and some various glue components. The retrofit was relatively simple, without any surprises, and the result works very well. It’s a relatively standard EMC2 setup with an external jogwheel box and limit switches, nothing really out of the ordinary yet enough for day to day projects.
